OL Chairs / The Exchange

I’ve known Yasu and Risa at Mentsen for well over a decade, but making the OL Chair at The Exchange is the first time I’ve had opportunity to produce one of their designs. That said, my job isn’t really just to make these chairs, but to figure out how other folk, with little or no furniture making experience, can learn the crafts skills to make them, and hit a very high standard.

The OL Chair won a Wood Award for Production Furniture in 2023.
