Shell Bedsides

These bedsides were designed by Rob Brain, and made during my time at RHMB. I’d been thinking a lot about Gaston Bachelard’s writing on shells in The Poetics of Space, and persuaded Rob this might make a suitable name for the piece. A matching pair of these were on display for London Craft Week 2022, at the Barge House, as part of the Future Icons show.
