What Lies Beneath

This piece is from my time at Jan Hendzel’s studio, where I worked for a few months over 2021 and 2022. I was attracted to Jan’s because of his commitment to making with solid, sustainably sourced, timber and his use of exposed joinery. This one was a real adventure in the end. The 56 dovetails that hold the carcass together are hand cut. Thomas Wheller handled the CNC for the doors.
