THE HERDS / homes for hedgehogs

THE HERDS was a public art and climate action that took place from April to August 2025. Life-size puppet animals travelled a 20,000km route from the Congo Basin to the Artic Circle, symbolising their flight from climate disaster. At The Exchange (Erith), visitors were able to take part in a number of related activities, including making homes for hedgehogs, which were distributed across the borough.
